Animation Effects

Choose from the default glide animation or a Glide with Gradual Stop. Both animations are duration-based meaning that they will speed up or slow down depending on the amount of content inside a panel.

The Rotator

Elevator Panels includes a Rotator option that allows each of the content panels to be displayed in a Slide Show fashion. This feature can be set to run automatically when the page first loads—a great way to call attention to what your panels contain by briefly exposing them. The rotation can be limited to just one cycle or can be set to loop as many times as you like and the interval between panels can be set in milliseconds.

Special Behaviors Suite

In addition to the automatic Elevator Panel insert and modify interfaces, the system ships with a full suite of Dreamweaver Behaviors that allow you to add control behaviors to links or images anywhere on your page to fine tune the behavior of your Elevator Widgets:

- Trigger Panel: Set a content panel to Open, Close, or Trigger (toggle)

- Open / Close All: Can be assigned to one Widget or all Widgets on a page

- Rotate Panels: Pause | Play | Resume | Cycles | Starting Panel

01: OnClick Triggers

Panel triggers are operated onclick. This sample uses the Multicolor style theme.

02: Single Trigger Panel

This sample uses the Charcoal style theme, which is a good choice when you want to place your Elevator Panel in a narrow sidebar. There is one trigger and one content panel. The Panel trigger is operated onclick.

03: Auto-Rotate Cycle

This sample uses the Slate style theme. The Panel triggers are operated onclick. The Auto-Rotate option is set to cycle once through all the panels when the page loads.

04: MouseOver Triggers

This sample uses the Carbon style theme. The Panel triggers are operated onmouseover.

05: Bottom Triggers

This sample uses the Carbon style theme. The Panel triggers are operated onclick. We've moved the Panel triggers below the content Panels.

06: Panel Control Behaviors +
Multiple Open Panels

This sample uses the Basic style theme. The Panel triggers are operated onclick. We've added Open All and Close All control behavior links, as well as Close Panel control behavior links inside each panel. Toggle option 0 is set to allow multiple open panels.

07: Auto-Rotate Images

This sample uses a customized version of the Basic style theme. The Panel triggers are hidden. The Auto-Rotate option is set to cycle once through all the panels when the page loads to display a sequence of images. We've added a Replay behavior.

08: Fixed Height

This sample is customized to render at a fixed height and spawn scrollbars when necessary.

• Animation Options
  • Normal Glide: A neat effect where the current panel appears to slide one way while the panel being revealed slides another way. The speed of the glide is dependent on the distance to be traversed
  • Gradual Stop Glide: The speed of this glide is also dependent on the distance to be traversed.
  • No animation

  • Toggle: You can choose to allow multiple open panels or to always display just one panel
  • Mouse-Over or Click: You can choose to allow mouse-over activation or restrict actions to onclick
  • Trigger or Normal Link: Headings can act as a trigger for the related content panel or can act as a normal link to an external page without requiring an associated content panel
  • Heading Location: Heading links can be moved anywhere on your page and then styled any way you want for some really cool effects

  • Includes 5 Style Themes: Choose form 5 different pre-defined Style Themes to act as a starting point from which to further customize your widget
  • Fully Editable: All Themes are fully customizable and can be edited directly in Dreamweaver using the CSS Styles Panel
