Company Information

"Purveyors of Legendary Mohide since 1982."

Our place in history

Harrison Clothiers was founded in 1982 by Maynard G. Harrison, who was known not just for his business acumen, but also for his scientific achievements. Mr. Harrison invented Mohide - made from the skins of a genetically engineered beast that can best be described as a cross between a llama and an alligator. For more than fifty years the company's bestselling product has been the Mohide Trenchcoat. Mohide's alternating stripes of fur and tanned leather have been the subject of numerous paintings, photographs, and a Broadway play.

Our beloved founder was taken from us in the spring of 1986, having been consumed by a particularly aggessive Llamagator at the company farm. When we say that there's a little piece of old Mr. Harrison is in everything we sell, we really do mean it.
