- Open Outlook Express.
- Click on the Tools menu. Select Accounts.
- In the window that comes up you should see a tab marked News. Click on it.
- If you already have any news accounts set up, you should see them here. Otherwise, the area below the News tab should be blank.
- Click the Add button and select News... from the options that appear.
- By default, the Outlook Express Internet Connection Wizard opens up. If it doesn't, you can input the following information manually in the window that does appear.
- The Wizard will ask you for your Display Name first. This is the name that appears when you post messages to a newsgroup. That is, the name that appears in the From: header of messages you post. Generally, you should type your name in here.
- Click the Next > button.
- The Wizard will ask for your email address. This is the address you want to be replied to at. Type in your email address.
- Click Next >.
- The Wizard now prompts you for the name of the news server. Type in: forums.projectseven.com ( You should leave the My news server requires me to log in box blank).
- Click Next >
- Click Finish.
- That's it! You should now have a news account ready for use in Outlook Express.
- The Subscriptions window should now open with a list of newsgroups available on our server. Subscribe to one or all of them.
- Click OK.
- The Project Seven newsgroup should appear in the left sidebar of your Outlook Express window (the Folders List sidebar).
