Question #300

How can I set up fixed height scrollable panels for the Tab Panel Magic 2 (TPM2) system?

The Answer

Prepared Jan. 2011 by Gerry Jacobsen, PVII

You can set the Tab Panel Magic 2 (TPM2) system to display a fixed height and then have scrollbars appear if needed to allow vertical scrolling for longer content by simply adding this style rule to the Tab Panel Magic 2 style sheet:

 .p7TPM_content {
    height: 200px;
    overflow: auto;
 }

Set the height as desired. This will make all of the panels the same assigned height.

If you wish to set height for a particular panel then use a style rule that specifically targets the panel you want. Each panel has an ID assigned to it. For example, the third panel in the first TPM2 component on the page is: p7TPMc1_3, so the style rule would look like this:

 #p7TPMc1_3 {
    height: 200px;
    overflow: auto;
 }
