42nd Street by PVII is an E-Book Course

42nd Street is a comprehensive 160-page course, an E-Book, covering all facets of the design process in step-by-step fashion. You'll learn how to design your layout in Fireworks, create valid xhtml markup in Dreamweaver, then bring it to life with CSS. No stone is left unturned in the process. You'll learn how to design a stable cross-browser, three-column, centered CSS layout. The attention to detail is unprecedented and the level of focus is beyond what you'll find in most CSS books.

How is it delivered?

The 42nd Street E-Book is in Adobe PDF format, so you can open it with your standard copy of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. Once you purchase 42nd Street, you can download it immediately. In addition to the E-Book, we also include a finished version of all files that you can use for reference.

Course requirements

You'll need a web page editor. We recommend Dreamweaver 8, Dreamweaver CS3 (or higher), although older versions can be used. A web image editor is also required. We recommend Fireworks 8 (or higher). Older versions of Fireworks can be used.

Note: Although the image editing sections of the course are based on Fireworks, Photoshop can be used so long as you are thoroughly familiar with its web image features.

"The attention to detail is unprecedented. The focus is totally beyond what you'll find in most CSS books."
